Acquaah leads California Baptist past UC Riverside 79-67

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Milan Acquaah scored 24 points with seven rebounds and six assists as California Baptist beat UC Riverside 79-67 on Wednesday night, snapping a two-game skid.

Ferron Flavors Jr. added 13 points and five rebounds for the Lancers (4-4) who ended UC Riverside’s four-game winning streak. Ty Rowell had 11 points and Zach Pirog and De’jon Davis scored 10 points apiece. Davis led the team with 11 rebounds and Pirog had nine rebounds.

The Lancers took the lead for good, 32-30, on a Flavors 3-pointer late in the first half. A Rowell 3 followed by a layup and jumper by Acquaah in the final 2:28 helped push it to 41-35 at the break.

Cal Baptist outrebounded UC Riverside 43-26.

DJ McDonald scored 12 points for the Highlanders (6-3). Callum McRae added 11.
