BOTTOM LINE: Mount St. Mary's relies on a pressing defense - so-called ''Mount Mayhem'' - and 3-point shooting. New Orleans is led by forward Erik Thomas, the Southland Conference's player of the year averaging 19.5 points and 7.8 rebounds.

BAD START: Mount St. Mary's lost 11 of its first 12 games but finished 18-4 while averaging 70.7 points per game.
