Impact Otzelberger said the move is out of caution, and that the Cyclones want to be sure their star guard is fully recovered before pushing him back into game action. Lipsey dealt with a groin injury for parts of the 2024-25 season, though it's unclear if the two injuries are to the same groin. Iowa State's next chance to play is Dec. 3 against Alcorn State. After that, they face Purdue on Dec. 6 and Iowa on Dec. 11. If Lipsey can't suit up for any of the three contests, Nate Hiese and Jamarion Batemon could handle more minutes.
