Milos Uzan - Scores 10 as Cougars bounce back Uzan had 10 points (3-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 79-70 victory over TCU.
Impact While Uzan remains entrenched as a starter and valuable player for the 18-2 Cougars, he hasn't made the leap, at least statistically, that many expected going into his senior year. Despite averaging more minutes than the 2024-25 season, Uzan's main counting stats are down across the board. Part of that can be explained by breakout freshman Kingston Flemings getting most of the usage, but it's also worth noting that Uzan is shooting a career-low 36.2 percent from the field.

Chris Cenac Jr. - Big rebounding day Cenac supplied eight points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 79-70 win over TCU.
Impact Houston tends to get most of its scoring from the backcourt, as shown by Kingston Flemings scoring 27 and Emmanuel Sharp chipping in 23 in the road win Wednesday. While Cenac is still capable of logging the occasional double-double, he affects the game in many ways beyond scoring. This was his season-best rebounding total, and the freshman has also combined for eight steals in his last four games.

David Punch - Productive in tough matchup Punch registered 16 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), one rebound, six assists and one block across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 79-70 loss to Houston.
Impact After sitting out due to illness Jan. 24 against Baylor, Punch returned to his regular role here, starting the contest and seeing a normal minutes allotment. Against a tough Houston defense, Punch logged his second-best assist total of the year and even hit his sixth three-pointer of the season. Next up is a road matchup against Colorado on Sunday.

Xavier Edmonds - Third-straight double double Edmonds posted 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-7 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 79-70 loss to Houston.
Impact Edmonds took advantage of Joseph Tugler's lack of playing time due to foul trouble, recording his third-consecutive double double as TCU fell for the fifth time in eight conference games. Edmonds was able to control the paint with all seven of his made field-goal attempts coming from around the cylander. Edmonds has started all but one game this year and has been a production-per-minute star throughout but has taken another step forward since the start of conference play, averaging 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 23.8 minutes through eight Big 12 games as opposed to 10.5, 4.2 and 0.7 during the non-conference slate.

Joseph Tugler - Fails to dent box score Tugler registered zero points (0-1 FG) in 10 minutes during Wednesday's 79-70 victory over TCU.
Impact Tugler couldn't get anything going, throwing up a rare bagel across the board with his only contributions in the box score coming by way of a single missed shot and a turnover during Houston's win. Tugler found himself in foul trouble early, riding the pine for the final 13:50 of the first half, then followed a similar script in the second half, picking up his fourth foul with 13:41 remaining. While it was not the first scoreless performance of his career, it was the first time he failed to dent the box score. There's no indication this was anything more than an off night for the 6-foot-8 forward and he'll look to rebound when Houston hosts Cincinnati on Saturday.
