Earl Timberlake - All-around effort secures bid
Timberlake had 17 points (8-14 FG, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, five assists, two blocks and four steals across 38 minutes during Saturday's 77-59 victory over Maine. Impact Timberlake is the second-leading scorer at 15.5 ppg for the NCAA Tournament-bound Bulldogs, trailing only Rafael Pinzon (18.7 ppg), who played through illness to help Bryant secure the automatic bid out of the American East. In three conference tournament games, Timberlake averaged an impressive 18.7 points, 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals. A fifth-year senior, Timberlake began his career at Miami and spent his second season with Memphis before finding his long-term home, and now he has a chance to help pull a major upset in the first round of the Big Dance.
