Continues in reserve roleShannon had 14 points (4-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 79-77 victory over Texas.
ImpactShannon continues to project as a first-round pick in the NBA Draft, though he made an interesting move in early-January in asking coach Chris Beard to start bringing him off the bench. It hasn't affected the sophomore's production, as Shannon has recorded at least 11 points and five rebounds in each game in this sixth-man role. While Micah Peavy and Kevin McCullar are in starting roles, Shannon should continue to see equal or greater minutes.
