Impact Barber underwent hand surgery last January after only appearing in three games for the Dukes in the 2022-23 season. It's unclear at this point if he's still recovering from the injury or if he simply isn't part of the rotation at this time. His next chance to take the court will be Friday against College of Charleston.

Undergoing surgery Barba announced via his personal twitter that he will undergo hand surgery Thursday.

Impact Barba said he most likely has to redshirt this season, meaning he is out for the remainder of 2022-23. The 6-foot-6 guard was averaging 0.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 2.7 minutes across three contests games before suffering his injury.

Not warming up Barba is not warming up and will be out for Saturday's matchup with Rhode Island for an undisclosed reason, Zachary Weiss of Pittsburgh Sports Now reports.

Impact It is unclear what issue Barba is dealing with, but it looks like he will be forced to miss at least one game. His absence does not figure to have much of an impact on the team's rotation. The next time he will have an opportunity to take the floor will come Wednesday versus VCU.

Hauls in rebound in final minute Barba (undisclosed) played the final minute in Friday's blowout loss to Kentucky and was able to snag a rebound.

Impact Barba notably had surgery for a herniated disc in his back during the spring of 2021 and did not appear in a game during his freshman campaign last year. There were no reports of him still having affects from the injury heading into this season, so he may just not be ready yet for a spot in the rotation.
