South Carolina coaches go toe-to-toe on the sidelines

The coaches at South Carolina have high standards.

Roughly four seconds after the Gamecocks had forced a crucial 3-and-out series against Georgia on Saturday, a pair of defensive assistants — Kirk Botkin (linebackers) and Deke Adams (defensive line — sunglasses) — engaged in a heated dispute along the sidelines, before a national TV audience.

It should be noted the feuding assistants made up before the Gamecocks defense took the field again. Such is the emotion of big-time football … especially a high-stakes game like No. 6 South Carolina vs. No. 11 Georgia, which the Bulldogs won 41-30.
