Venomous snake invades rugby pitch, scares fans Down Under
Rugby matches are usually pretty vicious.
But no one was counting on a poisonous reptile getting in on the action.
At a professional rugby match in Australia between Gold Coast and North Queensland, a not-so-little brown snake made its way on to the field and then slithered into the stands.
The rugby match played on, but the fans and commentators got a little nervous.
Snakes are not so unusual Down Under, but this one has some extra punch. The brown snake ranks as the second most venomous snake in the world, and its bites can be fatal to humans if not treated quickly.
