Canada fan zings Vladimir Putin with punny sign at hockey game

Canada defeated Russia 5-4 to capture the world junior hockey championship before a sold-out crowd at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto Monday night.

Admittedly, what sounds like an epic game and near-comeback bid by the Russians, who rallied after being down 5-1, would have escaped me — had it not been for this fantastic sign comparing Russian president Vladimir Putin with a gluttonous Quebec dish of french fries topped with cheese curds and gravy:

Though to be fair to Putin, poutine probably is greater than pretty much every world leader.
