Olivier Giroud’s biggest childhood fear was Alf
While some kids are afraid of monsters in their closets, others are apparently terrified of sitcom puppets.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud revealed in the team’s program for its game against Tottenham that as a kid he was petrified of the title character from ALF.

To be fair, Alf was an alien who ate cats, which isn’t a good way to win over kids.
The series debuted on Sept. 22, 1986 and Giroud was born eight days later. I shudder at the thought of how that could have impacted Giroud’s subconscience.
