Kobe Bryant blames shoulder injury on ‘passing too much’

A couple of hours before reports said that a torn rotator cuff would end his season, Kobe Bryant joked about his shoulder injury on Twitter.

The Lakers superstar, who often takes heat for throwing up too many shots, blamed his bum shoulder on his recent run of shooting less and passing more (and added a plug for one of the companies he endorses, just because).

Bryant is averaging 20.4 shots per game this season, according to basketball-reference.com. However, in the six games he has played in January, Bryant’s average went down to 14.5 shots per game.
