Driver crashes ultra-rare supercar worth millions at the Nurburgring

A driver walked away from a very expensive crash at the legendary Nurburgring in Germany, and one of the rarest supercars in the world now needs some extensive repairs. Video emerged of a Koenigsegg One:1 being lifed onto a flatbed truck after destroying a guardrail following a high-speed accident, and Koenigsegg confirmed that the driver was releaed from the hospital.

The One:1 is what Koenigsegg refers to as a "megacar," and only seven of the finished models exist. The company claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 248 miles per hour in 20 seconds. Given the rarity and performance of the One:1, it’s difficult to estimate its true value, but Car and Driver listed a base price of $2.8 million in 2015. A dealership in Australia that acquired one of the cars listed it for approximately $7.4 million last December.
