Avid golfer battling ALS drains 78-foot putt during live TV segment

Thirty months after getting diagnosed with ALS, Madeline Kennedy lost the ability to walk but not her enthusiasm for the game of golf.

A specially-crafted cart that elevates and supports her during a swing has enabled her to keep playing.  

Worthington Country Club in Bonita Springs, Fla. hosted an event to raise ALS funds in Kennedy’s honor, which prompted local CBS affiliate WINK-TV News to film a live report about Kennedy’s golfing in spite of the disease.

And of course they had her demonstrate her swing.
