Everyone tips cap as show of RE2PECT for retiring Jeter in 90-second Nike spot

RE2PECT. Find out what it means to Jetes.

Outgoing Yankees legend Derek Jeter can add to his collection of fond farewells a heartfelt 90-second video by Nike in which several New York celebrities (Billy Crystal, Spike Lee), athletes (Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony), members of the Yankees "Core Four" (bonus Tino Martinez) and many others tip their caps in a show of "RE2PECT," complete with Bob Sheppard’s voice.

The spot will first air on television during FOX’s coverage of the All-Star Game on Tuesday night. Check it out:

Jeter has collected a variety of marginally useful team-sponsored parting gifts in his final season including subway tile art, cupcakes and pinstriped cowboy boots.

The Captain picked up yet another distinction this season — with a 2 for 4 performance on July 10, he joined Pete Rose, Stan Musial and Hank Aaron as the only players since 1914 to record 1,000 multi-hit games.

Quite a career. Tip of the cap from The Buzzer.
