Dallas Baptist baseball team calls in helicopter to dry rain-soaked field

On Friday, record rainfall and flash floods continued to wreak havoc across Texas, causing widespread damage, loss of life and dangerous conditions.

Residents in some parts of the state are attempting to return to business as usual but the avalanche of water is making life difficult.

Take the Dallas Baptist University baseball team, which is attempting to prepare its rain-soaked field, Horner Ballpark, for NCAA regional tournament action at 6 p.m. Friday against Virginia Commonwealth University:

The leaf blowers weren’t quite getting the job done, so they brought in the heavy machinery: a helicopter. Watch the chopper in action in the video below.

There’s still some rain in the forecast so here’s hoping DBU can just play ball.
