WATCH: Carlos Boozer explains infamous ‘shoe polish hair’ incident in 2012
Back in February 2012 when power forward Carlos Boozer played for the Chicago Bulls, he hit the floor one night with a different look atop his head. His hair looked fuller and shiny like an oil slick.
A lot of people noticed and worse, "Booze" knew it was coming. Nearly four years later, people still rib him about it. It’s the plight of a man who’s losing his hair and willing to try anything to restore order upstairs.
On Tuesday’s "Highly Questionable," Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones tried to gently steer Boozer toward the subject to elicit what exactly he did with his hair that night when Boozer said, "Ohhh, man. Truth be told… I started losing the hair a little bit."
Skip forward to the 3:30 mark to get there when Boozer details his "shoe polish" look:
"I still get this!" Boozer lamented. "I heard it from my teammates, my girl, homies from growing up…"
But Boozer didn’t sell anyone out after noting that a lot of guys use Bigen and products like it. In fact if you want to "upgrade your swagger" (their slogan, not ours) with Bigen and get precisely the type of hair makeover that Boozer did, check out this how-to video:
