Iconic Nikes from ‘Back to the Future 2’ to aid Michael J. Fox’s cause

Even Nike is getting into the swing of things for "Back to the Future" Day.

One of the company’s most iconic designers, Tinker Hatfield, sent Michael J. Fox the "Nike Mag" shoes, the famous pair of Nikes — with power laces — Fox wore during "Back to the Future 2", and said the company is planning on producing more to aid Fox’s foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

"As the first, most celebrated wearer of the Nike Mag we wanted you to be the first to receive a living pair," wrote Hatfield, who has designed many of the company’s Air Jordan sneakers. Hatfield added that the sneakers are expected to be released in 2016.

Fox posted the letter on his Twitter account and thanked the shoe company for its support.
