Arizona St. to wear Pat Tillman alternate uniforms vs. Oregon

When the Arizona St. football team takes the field for a home game against Oregon Thursday night, the players will be wearing special uniforms that pay tribute to former Sun Devils safety Pat Tillman.

The "PT42" alternate uniforms, also pays tribute to the military.

Tillman’s name will be on the back of every ASU player’s jersey for the game, while a picture of Tillman and a quote from Tillman will be featured on players’ undershirts.

Tillman, who was part of the Sun Devils’ 1997 Rose Bowl team before getting drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, enlisted in the Army in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks. He was killed in 2004 while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in eastern Afghanistan.
