The sports world was met with a pleasant surprise on Wednesday, when Cal football announced that they will be handing out absurd, Marshawn Lynch bobbleheads at an upcoming home game this year. The news was met with glee across the internet, as it was a truly great partnership between one of football's most beloved (former) stars, and one of sports' easy-to-enjoy collectibles. The absurdity of it --- Marshawn riding on a trainer's cart --- only adds to the effect. It also made us wonder: What are the most absurd bobbleheads ever? Here are 15.
Let's start simple, with this traditional, classic Bryce Harper bobble head from a few years back. On the surface, it doesn't feel all that 'absurd' but look closer and you'll notice that not only does it have Harper's signature hair, but also his less recognizable under-eye freckle. That's probably a little tooooooo life-like, but credit the Nationals' PR staff for creativity.
Speaking of 'creepy' how about this bobblehead the Tigers trotted out for former starter Max Scherzer a few years back. I'm not saying this thing is scary --- but I'm pretty sure any child under 12 who reads this post (and subsequently sees this picture) won't be sleeping tonight.
Thankfully, there's nothing creepy about this bobblehead of current MLB on Fox super-analyst Dontrelle Willis. Just totally realistic, and totally awesome.
Chipper Jones and Freddie Freeman on an ATV
Remember that time that Chipper Jones had to rescue Freddie Freeman during a snow storm on an ATV? Neither do I! Apparently the Braves do however, and immortalized it on a bobblehead for some strange reason.
Speaking of 'some strange reason' the Brooklyn Cyclones had 'John Stamos bobblehead giveaway night' a few months back. Why? I have no idea... but have mercy, would I love to get one of these for my personal bobblehead collection.
Edgardo Alfonzo as 'The Fonz'
The Cyclones also broke out Edgar Alfonzo dressed as 'The Fonz' bobbleheads a few weeks ago as well. Why? I have no idea, but this might be the single most creative --- and absurd --- bobblehead on the list.
Chris Archer as a stormtrooper
No, I don't get what the correlation is between Chris Archer and stormtroopers, and I doubt you do either (a Google search shows basically nothing as well). Still, the Rays need some way to get people to the stadium, and this sure beats those 'bark in the park' nights, amiright?!
Chris Bosh with a middle-part?
Admittedly, my memories of Bosh in Toronto are a little hazy... but when did he have a middle part?
Speaking of 'hair' call me crazy, but doesn't Dirk kind of look like a young Hasslehoff here?
Honestly, I just never knew Randy Foye was important enough to have his own bobblehead.

Chris Paul and Cliff Paul
Let's credit the Clippers here, for not only honoring Chris Paul, but his twin brother Cliff. The pair were born to assist, and would compliment each other nicely in any bobblehead collection.
Andy Reid with the Eagles
Nothing absurd here, but I've got to ask: If I said 'name me your must-have bobbleheads' how far down would you have to go, to get to Andy Reid with the Eagles? 1,000? 10,000? Just food for thought here.
Babe Ruth with the Dodgers
The Dodgers get an 'A' for creativity here, but no better than a 'D' for practacility. After all, they do realize that Ruth never played for the Dodgers, and was never a manager, but instead simply a coach, right? Plus, this happened years before the team moved to LA. I hate to use logic here, but this feels like a reach --- albeit again, a creative one --- at best.
There is no context needed here, since a universal, fully-understood thing that all things John Daly are awesome. The only thing that would make this better? If little, bobblehead John Daly had a cigarette hanging off his lip, just like the big one.

Absolutely absurd, and absolutely awesome. Shout out to the Fredericksburg Keys, the single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles with the single most absurd bobblehead we've ever seen: One of fictional golf legend 'Shooter McGavin.'
