Ray Lewis wants Patriots to have asterisk; Daniella Grace is Fox-y
My apologies if you have Deflategate fatigue, but this piece of news is too precious to pass up. Former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who knows a little bit about controversy, thinks the Patriots’ accomplishments should come with an asterisk. His full, somewhat rambling, quote:
"But the integrity of this game. Marshawn Lynch . . . the league clearly said to him, ‘If you come out of the tunnel with those shoes on, we will not only suspend you for this game, but we will suspend you for the Super Bowl.’ Now we’re back at another place where we let a team go into an AFC championship, and if it’s proven that they played with deflated balls … because if it’s not cheating, then the Colts should have had the same option to play with the same balls. So we’re at a place now where we’re going to celebrate an organization once again, put an asterisk by it, because they went into a championship game. The integrity of this game! That’s not the way you go into games trying to win football games."
WWE fans are livid thanks to last night’s Royal Rumble (recap here). Roman Reigns won the big event, which means he’ll face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania in a couple of months. However, the WWE Universe wanted to see Daniel Bryan win the match. To add insult to injury, Bryan was eliminated fairly early in the Rumble. All of this caused a slew of fans to cancel their subscriptions to the WWE network. In fact, #CancelWWENetwork was still trending this morning.
