WATCH: 7-foot boxer Taishan Dong, aka ‘Great Wall of China’, delivers crushing KO
If you haven’t yet witnessed the jaw-dropping sight of 7-foot boxing giant Taishan Dong in the ring, hold that click.
We profiled Dong, aka "The Great Wall of China", back in February. The Far East’s real-life version of Ivan Drago from "Rocky IV", Taishan is the 286-pound heavyweight curiosity who joined Golden Boy Promotions and is training in the U.S. in hopes of becoming boxing’s next dominant heavyweight champion.
In Friday night’s "Golden Boy Live" event on FOX Sports 1 in Indio, Calif., Dong demonstated his massive potential in winning his fifth consecutive fight to begin his professional career. One strong right hand in the final half-minute of the first round was all it took to drop Lance Gouch for the knockout, Dong’s third in five fights thus far.
The scary thing? Dong only began boxing last March.
Just like Drago, whatever Dong hits, he destroys.
