Power outage during game is latest glitch for Buffalo Bisons

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Technical glitches keep popping up for the Buffalo Bisons, with a power outage the latest issue to vex the Triple-A franchise of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The second game of an International League doubleheader against Pawtucket on Tuesday at Coca-Cola Field was postponed after a power outage in the area around the downtown stadium knocked out electricity to the ballpark. The power went out during a game that had been suspended by rain Monday. Pawtucket won 9-6.

With the sun setting, the Bisons postponed the second game and asked fans to leave the stadium while it was still light out. The teams will play two seven-inning games Wednesday.

During last Thursday’s home opener, the clocks that keep track of the new pace of play rules broke. League officials said there was a problem with the clocks’ communication system.
