Crowley's 17 leads Southern Miss past Troy 64-60
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Austin Crowley's 17 points helped Southern Miss defeat Troy 64-60 on Thursday as both teams opened Sun Belt Conference play.
Crowley had six rebounds and five steals for the Golden Eagles (12-2). Felipe Haase added 16 points while shooting 6 for 14 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free throw line, and he also had eight rebounds and three blocks. Denijay Harris recorded 12 points and shot 5 of 9 from the field.
Zay Williams finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and two steals for the Trojans (8-6). Kieffer Punter added 14 points for Troy. Aamer Muhammad also put up 11 points.

Both teams next play Saturday. Southern Miss hosts Appalachian State and Troy visits Texas State.
