The Rangers acquired New York Mets outfielder Jeff Francoeur on Tuesday making him eligible for the post-season roster. He will be looking to do what Cristian Guzman and Jorge Cantu did not – make a contribution to the 2010 Texas Rangers.

Texas acquired Francoeur and cash for infielder Joaquin Arias. He is hitting .237/.293/.369 with 11 homeruns and 54 RBI on the season. Francoeur is another right-handed bat that hits better off left-handed pitching: .278/.355/.412 with three home runs and 12 RBI in 97 at-bats.
