Watt has lunch with fellow Houston legend

On Tuesday, one future Houston icon had lunch with a former Houston icon.

Houston Texans defensive end, J.J. Watt, posted a picture on his Twitter account of his lunch with former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming.

“Great lunch with @YaoMing today,” Watt tweeted on his account, @JJWatt. “Have a feeling he could knock down a pass or two.”

Ming, who has quietly fallen off the radar since his retirement from the NBA in 2011, is back in Houston this week to attend the NBA All-Star Game … and found time to share a meal with arguably the most popular current athlete in the city.

Watt has become well known for his ability to swat passes at the line of scrimmage, even forcing teams to find new ways to prepare for the defensive end, such as using tennis racquets like Bill Belichick did to help Tom Brady.

And with 920 career block, Ming knows a think or two about good defense … but no word on whether the two shared any trade secrets.

But one thing is for sure, at 6-5, 295 pounds, it takes a mountain of a man to make Watt look small.

And on Tuesday, Watt met his match.
