SMU’s game against UCF Saturday is now free for all

The icy conditions in the Metroplex have led SMU to turn Saturday’s football game against Central Florida into a free-for-all.

Literally.

SMU will open up the gates for everyone as tickets aren’t going to be required for the 11 a.m. game at Ford Stadium.

The school has made some adjustments to the normal stadium policies because of the weather. The Boulevard is closed because of ice and fallen limbs. Cash parking lots will also be free and fans should enter the stadium in Gates 1-3 as only the west side of the stadium will be open for fans. Fans that already purchased tickets as well as season-ticket holders will have first right for their normal seats.

SMU has also made another concession for temperatures that aren’t supposed to get out of the 20s. There will be discounted hot chocolate and coffee sold.
