Romo, Woods partners at Pebble Beach
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is partnering with Tiger Woods this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in California.
Woods was asked a few questions about his partner during a Tuesday press conference.
“As we all know, he’s a hell of an athlete,” Woods said, according to USAToday.com. “He can play just about any sport he wants. He’s one of those gifted athletes. Whatever he picks up he can do.”
It’s no secret that Romo is an avid golfer who has attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open the past two years. Woods said Romo “can really move the ball” and added that his strength training from football “translates to golf.”
As far as how serious Romo is taking the event, Woods said the franchise quarterback has been frequently seeking tips from the 10-time PGA Player of the Year.
“He’s been calling me quite a bit, sending me video of his swing, (asking) what can I do, what can I do, blah, blah, blah,” Woods said. “He’s into the game.”
