Rattlers reach agreement to stay at US Airways Center

PHOENIX  — The Arizona Rattlers announced Wednesday that they have agreed to a multi-year extension to continue playing their games at US Airways Center. FOXSportsArizona.com incorrectly reported in August that the Rattlers intended to move to Gila River Arena in Glendale starting in 2015.

The Rattlers’ neew deal with US Airways Center includes an enhanced sales partnership with the Phoenix Suns.

"When deciding where the best fit for the Rattlers would be in the Valley, we chose downtown Phoenix because we consider it our home," said Rattlers owner Ron Shurts. "This partnership with the Suns is the right choice for the Rattlers and our dedicated fan base. Working closely with the Suns to enhance our ticket sales and season ticket holder base is a priority for the franchise."

The Rattlers, who have won three consecutive Arena League championships, have played at US Airways Center since 1992.
