FOX Sports Arizona to televise 158 Diamondbacks games

FOX Sports Arizona has been the exclusive television home of the Arizona Diamondbacks since 2008, and this season, the network will offer unprecedented coverage for D-backs fans across Arizona and New Mexico.

In each of the past three years, D-backs baseball on FOX Sports Arizona has been the top-rated program during prime-time programming hours throughout the season, and in 2016, fans will be able to watch an all-time high 158 D-backs game telecasts and 158 "Diamondbacks Live" pre- and post-game shows. There will be 155 games on FOX Sports Arizona, and three on FOX Sports Arizona Plus (April 5, 9 and 13). Another three games will be televised nationally on FS1 (April 26 vs St. Louis, May 21 at St. Louis and Sept. 19 at San Diego).

Nearly 1800 hours of D-backs coverage is planned for this season, including offerings from FOX Sports Arizona’s Emmy Award-winning original programming department such as D-backs 10th Inning, Local 9, Los D-backs and Cup of Coffee With Steve Berthiaume.

The D-backs announcing team of Berthiaume and Bob Brenly returns for its fourth year together. FOX Sports Arizona’s Todd Walsh and Jody Jackson, who have covered the D-backs since 2001 and 2000, will once again share hosting duties for the pre- and post-games shows — Diamondbacks Live, Presented by Nissan" and Diamondbacks Live, presented by Century Link. Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb and Joe Borowski will return to fill the role of the show’s analyst during the season.

Another highlight for the upcoming season will be the 25 D-backs games offered in Spanish on FOX Sports Arizona Plus for the first time. The D-backs Spanish Broadcasts, Presented by Valley Honda Dealers will include some of the best series on the 2016 schedule, featuring games vs. high-profile opponents like the Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, Blue Jays, Nationals and Mets. 

FOX Sports Arizona launches its 19th season of televising D-backs baseball on April 4 with a special one-hour Opening Day pre-game show starting at 5:30 p.m. The D-backs then take on the Colorado Rockies at 6:30 p.m. at Chase Field.

FOX Sports Arizona has already started its 2016 D-backs coverage with an all-time high 13 Cactus League game telecasts, Cactus League Weekly, Presented by Chas Roberts and D-backs: Evolution. There will also be a one-hour season preview show on March 29, at 7 p.m.
