D-backs spring training tickets on sale Saturday

The Diamondbacks announced Thursday that individual tickets for all 2014 spring training games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

Tickets for all games at Salt River Fields are priced from $9-$28. General admission lawn seating, which seats up to 4,000 people, will be $9, while tickets for the 7,000 reserved seats in the seating bowl range from $19-$28.

The first 100 fans to purchase D-backs spring training tickets at the Salt River Fields box office will receive free parking and two tickets to the Street Eats Festival that will take place at Salt River Fields on Jan. 25-26. Complimentary coffee and pastries will also be provided to fans that purchase tickets at the box office from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

Last season, the D-backs sold out 12 spring training games at their Salt River Fields home. In addition, they set a single-game attendance record with 12,864 fans on March 24 against the Mariners. The team’s average spring training attendance of 11,021 was the highest in the major leagues.

With the help of the Diamondbacks’ sold-out crowd of 11,576 fans on the opening day of spring training last season, Salt River Fields surpassed the 1 million mark within just 24 months of operation. Salt River Fields also holds the top three single-season spring training attendance records, having seen 1.1 million baseball fans in the past three seasons.  

Pitchers and catchers will report to Salt River Fields on Feb. 6 with their first workout on Feb. 7. Position players will report on Feb. 11, and the first full-squad workout is set for Feb. 12.

Workouts are open to the public, and fans may park in the Desert Lot on the north side of the complex, which is best accessed via 90th Street off of Via de Ventura.

The D-backs will open the Cactus League exhibition season on Feb. 26 against the Dodgers at 1:10 p.m. at Salt River Fields.
