Coyotes shut out again to close winless preseason

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Martin Jones made 18 saves and the San Jose Sharks beat Arizona 3-0, handing the Coyotes their third straight shutout loss.

Arizona lost all six of its preseason games and was outscored 20-4.

Joe Pavelski scored twice, and Tomas Hertl added a goal.

Mike Smith made 27 saves for Arizona.
