The D-backs have lost 5 of their first 7 games on this 10-game road trip and have been the subject of widespread trade speculation heading into Monday's non-waiver deadline. . . . Watch: 6:30 p.m., FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports GO.
D-backs starting pitcher Zack Godley
Godley is making his fifth start of the season and 11th of his major-league career. He hasn't been the most unhittable of the D-backs pitchers, but winning seems to follow him like a puppy dog. He is the first pitcher in franchise history to record 7 wins over his first 10 starts -- going 7-2 with a 4.21 ERA. . . . He was the winning pitcher in Sunday's 9-8 victory over Cincinnati, giving up 10 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. The D-backs have scored 10, 7, 1 and 9 runs in his first four starts.

Dodgers starting pitcher Kenta Maeda
Maeda was the winning pitcher against the Cardinals in his last start on Saturday, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs over 5 2/3 innings in a 7-2 victory. . . . He has already started 3 times against the D-backs in his first major-league season -- compiling a 4.02 ERA while allowing 18 hits and 7 earned runs in 15 2/3 innings. The Dodgers have won just one of those games. He was knocked around for 7 hits and 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings in a 6-5 loss to the D-backs on July 17 at Chase Field. . . . Jake Lamb is 5- for 7 with 2 doubles and a home run against Maeda; Jean Segura is 4 for 8.

Freight Train back on the tracks
David Peralta rejoins the team today after completing his rehab assignment from a lower back strain. He was 8 for 29 (.276) with 4 doubles, 4 walks and 2 RBI in 9 games at Triple-A Reno. Peralta has played just 41 games for the D-backs this season while spending two stints on the disabled list and is batting .259 with 4 home runs. . . . The D-backs would like to see him regain last year's form that saw him post .312 average with 17 homers and a league-leading 10 triples. . . . Lamb is also expected to be back in the starting lineup today after coming off the bench in Thursday's loss at Milwaukee. He's mired in an 0-for-21 funk while dealing with a jammed left hand.

Finding a way to win
The Dodgers have stayed in contention despite an unending series of injuries to their pitching staff and an offense that has ranked as substandard for much of the season. They're 24th in batting average (.244), 26th in slugging (.395) and 19th in runs scored (439). Against left-handers, they're hitting a major-league worst .217. . . . Adrian Gonzalez (9 home runs, .281) and Yasiel Puig (7, .255) have been unable to discover their power strokes, and Yasmany Grandal (14 homers, .210) and Joc Pederson (13, .234) have supplied power but not average, leaving rookie shortstop Corey Seager (17, .303) and third baseman Justin Turner (18, .272) to carry the lineup. . . . Turner has already topped his career high for home runs and is hitting .344 with 3 homers vs. the D-backs.
