Should Deebo Samuel feel disrespected after being rumored for a trade?

Somewhat of a surprise this offseason were the rumors that the 49ers were looking to trade star wideout Deebo Samuel

Samuel confirmed the rumors were true but noted that he and his agent have "moved past it" and will focus on the upcoming season.

On "Speak," former NFL running back LeSean McCoy shared his thoughts on what Samuel might be thinking about the rumors and how it could impact his performance this season.

"If you sit there and complain about it and be mad about it, it might affect your game," McCoy shared. "You don't want that with your teammates and that's in the past.

"But I will say this: If he does have a good year, which I think he will, [they] can pay him back in other ways, because they might want to re-sign him … and whatever that number was going to be that [Deebo] might have been ok with, now [Deebo] is no longer ok with it. [Deebo] is going to tax your butt because they tried to trade [him]."

Another wide receiver making the news recently was Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings. He agreed to the largest deal ever for a non-QB, reportedly $140 million over four years.

He was the Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 and has averaged 98.3 receiving yards per game across his career, which is the highest mark in NFL history.

While locking up the wide out to a long-term deal was a boon for the future, the Vikings' odds remain unchanged at +8000.

Super Bowl LIX will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Feb. 9, 2025, and will be broadcast on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
