WWE's "United States of America" Champion Kevin Owens revealed a few hours before Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live in Rochester, New York, that he suffered a broken thumb. Fortunately, the injury isn't severe enough to put Owens on the disabled list. Owens had teamed up with WWE Champion Jinder Mahal the previous night at a live event, losing to the team of Randy Orton and AJ Styles.

Later that night, Owens lost to Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown Live. Following the match, Nakamura was attacked by Baron Corbin, who had been guest commentating.
