The match card for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 event has been announced.
Every January 4, New Japan Pro Wrestling holds the Wrestle Kingdom 11 event, which is their biggest show of the year. This sees the company fill out the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan for this four-plus hour special. Every title will be on the line at this show, and someone will even be making their debut that’s well known to American wrestling fans.
Kazuchika Okada will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kenny Omega. The Canadian wrestler won the 2016 G1 Climax tournament to earn this opportunity and had to defend this on a couple of occasions. For Okada, this is his third consecutive main event spot at Wrestle Kingdom as he faced Hiroshi Tanahashi in the headliner in each of the past two years. This is also the seventh straight year that either Okada or Tanahashi have been in this spot too.

Former WWE star Cody Rhodes is set to make his NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 11. He recently got announced as the newest member of the Bullet Club. The Star That Left Them in the Dust will face former NXT star Juice “CJ Parker” Robinson, who has spent the past year-plus in Japan.
After winning the ROH World Championship at Final Battle, Kyle O’Reilly will defend the belt against Adam Cole in a rematch. This is the second straight year ROH’s top title has been put on the line at the Tokyo Dome (Jay Lethal defeated Michael Elgin in 2016). Can O’Reilly defeat his long-time rival once again?
