NXT returns to the Barclays Center Saturday for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, and the card includes a few matches that might overshadow what comes a day later at SummerSlam. TakeOver: Brooklyn begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.
Ember Moon vs. Billie Kay
Billie Kay demanded William Regal add her to the card on Wednesday’s episode of NXT, and Regal agreed to have Kay face the debuting and mysterious Ember Moon.
Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Bobby Roode
Roode makes his NXT TV debut at the Barclays Center against a fellow newcomer in Andrade Almas. It’s a close race but Roode might have the best entrance music in all of NXT.
The Revival vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Tag Team Championship
The Revival are the only two-time tag champs in NXT history, having reclaimed the belts from American Alpha at TakeOver: The End in June.
No Way Jose vs. Austin Aries
Aries turned on No Way Jose weeks ago while the two were dancing atop the commentary table. If you haven’t seen No Way Jose dance-wrestle yet, it’s almost worth the price of admission alone.
Asuka vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship
Asuka took Bayley’s NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Dallas in an absolute classic, and has yet to lose a match in NXT.
Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT Championship
The big one. This match - along with Asuka-Bayley II - could easily be the best of the weekend, SummerSlam included.
