AMES, Iowa (AP) Ariel Atkins scored a career-high 22 points with 11 rebounds and sixth-ranked Texas beat Iowa State 65-49 Saturday to improve to 9-0 on the road.
Empress Davenport added 13 for the Longhorns (21-1, 10-1 Big 12), who won in Ames for the first time since 2009.
Texas used a 21-9 run midway through the second half to push past the Cyclones (12-10, 4-7), who've lost six of seven. But starting guard Brianna Taylor left the game in the third quarter with what appeared to be a left ankle injury.
Jadda Buckley had 19 points to lead Iowa State, which was outrebounded 20-5 on the offensive glass.
