Road warriors: Bucks' offense coming to life as visiting team

The Milwaukee Bucks are bringing home court advantage with them on the road.

Heading into another road test against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, the Bucks boast the NBA’s top offense as a visiting team since Feb 1.

The Bucks are shooting 49 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from the 3-point line on the road in that span, good for first and second in the league, respectively. Their 111.6 points per 100 road possessions rank third in the NBA, as well.

Hot shooting has led to victories. After starting the year 8-14 as the visiting team, Milwaukee has won eight of its 13 road games since Feb. 1, including a 4-2 west coast road trip last week that featured a sweep of the Lakers and Clippers in the Staples Center.

To go along with Milwaukee’s hot offense, its defense has improved in all categories over the course of the year. But the most significant difference can be seen in its 3-point defense -- opponents are shooting a mere 34.8 percent from deep in March, compared to 39 percent in January.

NOTABLES:

-- Tony Snell ranks second in the NBA in 3-point percentage since Jan. 1, shooting 46.6 percent from downtown (75 of 161). He is second only to Cleveland’s Kyle Korver (47.5 percent).

-- Giannis Antetokounmpo has 41 games this season with 20+ points while making at least half his shots, tied for most in the NBA with LeBron James.

-- Antetokounmpo is one of seven players in the league to average over 15 points, five rebounds and five assists per game. He is well over all three categories: 23.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
