Brewers' Braun returns after missing week with arm injury

Published May. 10, 2017 9:15 a.m. ET

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun is back in the lineup.

The Brewers announced that Braun will bat third and start in left field against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

The veteran hasn't started since April 30 and the last time he played a complete game was April 28. Braun did pinch-hit May 2 in a 2-1 loss at St. Louis but struck out.

Braun returned to Milwaukee ahead of the Brewers three-game road series against the Pirates after sitting out with what was originally characterized as a minor arm issue, but an MRI later came back clean.

Now in his 11th season with the Brewers, Braun is batting .284/.370/.580 this season with seven home runs.
