Midweek Stock Report: Snell leads Bucks to big win

Every Wednesday, FOX Sports Wisconsin takes a look at which athletes' stock is trending up and whose is trending down.

In other words, who is making a meteoric rise, and who is quickly plummeting.

With that in mind, let's "take stock" of the current sports scene in Wisconsin.

Orlando Arcia, Brewers shortstop

The budding Brewers star hit two home runs in a 13-12 win over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday, his second and third homers of spring training. Arcia has displayed better patience at the plate this spring, and figures to improve on his slash line of .219/.273/.358 from a year ago.

Luke Kunin, former Badgers forward

It took Kunin exactly three games to adjust to life in the pros. The former Badgers star netted his first AHL hat trick Tuesday in just his third game with the Iowa Wild, scoring three goals in a 4-0 win over the Rockford IceHogs. He isn't eligible to play in the NHL until next season, but could be a threat to make the big club next season.

Tony Snell, Bucks guard/forward

Snell led the Bucks to a big win over the Charlotte Hornets, scoring a season-high 26 points and hitting four 3-pointers. It was a big night from beyond the arc for the Bucks, who shot .467 from 3-point range and .622 from the field.

Malcolm Brogdon, Bucks guard

Brogdon reached double figures for the fourth straight game Tuesday, scoring 14 points in the Bucks' win over the Hornets. "The President" just keeps making plays, and went 6-for-7 from the field in just over 29 minutes of action and racked up 10 assists for his first double-double since December.

Scooter Gennett, former Brewers infielder

Gennett struggled to find a place in the Brewers' crowded infield after Jonathan Villar took over at second base, but evidently didn't make enough of an impact on the Brewers to stick around as a utility player. The Cincinnati Reds claimed Gennett after he was waived by the Brewers on Tuesday, taking on his $2.5 million salary.

The Badgers men's basketball team

So. That happened. Let's just forget we brought it up.
