GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers will set out on their eighth-annual ‘Tailgate Tour’ in May.
This year’s event will make four stops in Wisconsin, traveling to Oshkosh (May 14), Beloit (May 15), Tomah (May 17) and Wisconsin Rapids (May 18). In addition, for the first time ever, the Tailgate Tour will stop in Iowa, scheduled for Dubuque on May 16.
The current Packers players who will be on the tour are wide receiver Randall Cobb, cornerback Jarrett Bush and running back Alex Green. Joining them are Packers president / CEO Mark Murphy and Packers alumni Santana Dotson, Aaron Taylor and Frank Winters.
Those seven will travel on a customized motor coach with the “Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” logo on it. They will arrive to each Tailgate Tour stop at 6 p.m., with the event running until 8:30 p.m., except in Wisconsin Rapids (1:00-3:30 p.m.). Each stop is hosted by a local non-profit organization.
For $30, Packers fans who attend the Tailgate Tour will get autographs and be part of a question-and-answer session. There will also be food and prize giveaways.
There are also $5 general admission tickets for stops in Wisconsin Rapids, Beloit and Dubuque that are only for access to the Q-and-A.
All proceeds of the Tailgate Tour will go to the hosting organizations.
“The Packers are very excited to embark on the eighth annual Tailgate Tour,” Murphy said in a statement. “Our fan’s loyalty and commitment to the tour in past years has helped drive the success of the event and has allowed us to continue supporting great organizations throughout the state. We are excited to bring the tour to Iowa for the first time this year and can’t wait to visit with fans on all of our stops.”
Tickets go on sale April 1, except for Tomah (April 6).
