Watch: Puig's bat flip for Dodgers goes haywire

Puig is known for his bat flips, but this one on Saturday almost took out a couple guys.

Yasiel Puig was nicknamed the 'maestro' of the bat flip by broadcaster Vin Scully last month, but his flip game was off on Saturday.

Yasiel Puig's infamous bat flip has gotten him the stink eye on more than one occasion, but rarely has it landed him on a blooper reel.

With the Diamondbacks in town to face the Dodgers on Saturday, Puig drew a walk from starter Josh Collmenter and almost took out D-Backs catcher Miguel Montero, himself and home plate ump Bill Welke along the way. On his way to first base, Puig tried flipping the bat toward the Dodger dugout, but of course it flew above all of their heads instead.

Typical Puig.

Last month he showed off his bat flipping skills on, and it's really too bad this wasn't one of them.

Check out the video below of Puig's bat flip gone wrong.
