Two Trojans, two Bruins on ballot for College Football Hall of Fame

The 2018 ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame was released on Thursday.

USC and UCLA are well represented.

Two Trojans (DB Troy Polamalu & Mark Carrier) and two Bruins (QB Cade McNown & LB Ken Norton Jr.) are among the 75 players from the Football Bowl Subdivision included in the impressive list.

Polamalu (1999-2002) was a two-time First Team All-American, two-time captain and finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior.

Carrier (1987-89) was also a two-time First Team All-American and the 1989 Thore Award winner. He led the Pac-10 in interceptions in 1989 with seven.

McNown (1995-98), who still owns numerous school records at UCLA, was a 1998 consensus First Team All-American and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient.

Norton Jr. (1984-87) led UCLA to four consecutive bowl wins en route to first team All-America honors. He ranks sixth in school history with 339 career tackles.

The 2018 Class will be announced on Mondy, Jan. 8 during the CFP National Championship and will be officially inducted during the 61st NFF Annual Awards Dinner Dec. 4, 2018, at the New York City.
