USC moves up, UCLA drops a few spots in latest AP Top 25

Opening week of the college football season ended well for both the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins. 

Both teams recorded wins Saturday, with USC handily beating Fresno State by the score of 52-13 and UCLA narrowly escaping Virginia Tech 27-20. 

A win usually means your spot in the rankings is safe, but no, that wasn’t the case for UCLA, who dropped from No. 7 to No. 11 in the latest AP Top 25. As for USC, the Trojans jumped one spot up to No. 14.
