Outfielders work on throwing accuracy

Outfielders spent time Monday morning working on their throwing accuracy, fielding ground balls and firing them at a target placed on top of a trash can about 100 feet away. Matt Holliday and Shane Robinson were among a small group that actually knocked the target from the top of the trash can. Most hit a sign attached to the fence behind the trash can while some hit the bottom of the can. The drill simulated the outfielders attempting to throw out a runner.
