The NHL on Sunday released the full 2014-15 schedule, with the Stanley Cup champion Kings set to kick off the season on Oct. 8 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kings knocked out the Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final in the third meeting in four years between the two teams.

Kings also face the Ducks in a home-and-home on Nov. 12 and 15, setting up a rematch after Kings beat the Ducks in seven games in the first-ever playoff Freeway Faceoff series.

On Jan. 8, the Kings face the New York Rangers, who they beat in five games for their second championship in three seasons.

Ducks open their season Oct. 9 at Pittsburgh with their home opener scheduled Oct. 17 against the Wild.
