Earvin “EJ” Johnson III, the 20-year-old son of Magic Johnson, recently was filmed walking down Hollywood’s Sunset Strip holding the hand of a man whom TMZ reports is his boyfriend.
In the video seen below from TMZ, EJ — wearing a fur coat and carrying a handbag — answers questions about the Dodgers, the renovation of Dodger Stadium and the Lakers.
In a statement to TMZ, Magic said his son has the family’s full backing.
“Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way,” the Lakers legend and current Dodgers owner said. “We’re very proud of him.”
During the interview, EJ said he was going to “hope and pray” that the Dodgers were going to be a success this year.
But how about Magic’s former team, which is in a fight to reach the NBA playoffs? When the subject of the Lakers came up, E.J. gave a chuckle and then paused before saying: “They have a lot of work to do.”
