Another Kings jersey will join the Staples Center rafters on Jan. 17.

Rob Blake, who's also joining the Hockey Hall of Fame in November, will have his No. 4 retired by the Kings ahead of a game vs. the Ducks at Staples Center.

Blake, the Kings' vice president/assistant general manager, is the all-time leader in games played, goals, assists and points by an L.A. defenseman. His number will join Marcel Dionne's No. 16, Dave Taylor's No. 18, Luc Robitaille's No. 20, Rogie Vachon's No. 30 and Wayne Gretzky's No. 99.

A veteran of 1,270 regular season and 146 playoff games with the Kings, Avalanche and Sharks, the Ontario native recorded 161 goals, 333 assists and 494 points in 805 total games with L.A.

Blake, the Kings' captain from 1996-01 and in 2007-08, was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team in 1991.

He was the 1998 Norris Trophy Winner and was a four-time NHL All-Star during his time with Los Angeles.

Also during the 2014-15 season, the Kings will continue to celebrate their second Stanley Cup in three seasons while Robitaille, as part of the Legends Night Series, will have his statue unveiled at Star Plaza on March 7.
