Lakers honor Dr. Jerry Buss in team photo

The Lakers honored the late Dr. Jerry Buss in their 2012-13 team photo on Wednesday, leaving an empty seat between Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol in tribute to the legendary owner.

Buss died from an undisclosed form of cancer, and the Lakers have gone 11-4 since his death on Feb. 18.

The Lakers also released a video of the shoot and thanked fans on Twitter after reaching 3 million followers.

Currently eighth in the West and a game and a half over the ninth-place Jazz, the Lakers host the Washington Wizards on Friday.

Coach Mike D’Antoni confirmed Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol will be back in the lineup Friday. With both returning, it will mark just the second game of the season that D’Antoni will have his entire roster intact, with the exception of Jordan Hill, who is out after undergoing hip surgery in January.
